Play Session

Educational programming also informs the supervised play sessions run by Roberta Jull Family Day Care Service at its premises at 29 Wheatley Street, Gosnells.

Your educators routine may be complemented by attending the play sessions that operate for the exclusive use of Roberta Jull FDCS educators and children in their care and are conducted in accordance with Policy 26 from the Service Policies and Procedures.

We believe regular attendance at play sessions is highly beneficial for both educators and children. Educators receive valuable support and ideas through networking with our experienced Play Session Coordinator and with other educators. Children can develop their social skills through mixing with a larger group of children in an environment full of possibilities for investigation and learning.

Activities are programmed to meet the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF V2) principles, practices and outcomes to:

  • foster self-esteem
  • promote creativity
  • build and secure positive relationships
  • develop language skills
  • promote physical development
  • connect children with their world and with others

Play sessions are made up of open-ended activities with plenty of room for spontaneity and fun. Your child will have the chance to play and learn through art and craft, creative play, outdoor activities, music, language, numeracy and story time.

A policy of “No Hat Shade Play” is endorsed. Please supply a hat for your child and suitable play clothing for messy activites.

Please feel free to drop in and view our premises to give you a better idea of your child’s activities while at play session.

Watch for invitations to special occasions throughout the year including Children’s Week, Book Week and cultural events.
