Government Subsidies (CCB & CCR)

Child Care Benefit (CCB)

CCB is available to most parents and is assessed on the gross family income. Please contact the Department for Human Services (DHS) on 13 61 50 to discuss your eligibility to receive CCB and to link your Customer Reference Number (CRN) to child care benefit.

You may choose to receive assistance as a reduction in your weekly fees, or claim a lump sum at the end of the year. You will still need to register with the DHS to receive your Customer Reference Numbers (CRN) for the enrolling parent and any children accessing a child care service even if you are claiming an annual lump sum amount.

Failure to register your CRN will result in an informal enrolment and no record of care will be retained by the Department of Social Services. The service is under no obligation to backdate payment of CCB should you decide to claim at a future date. Any necessary adjustments may incur a $100 service fee.

It is your responsibility to inform the DHS of any changes to your circumstances and to inform your educator of a change in CCB percentage. Your child's immunisation must be kept up to date for DHS to continue payment of CCB on your behalf.

Child Care Rebate (CCR)

CCR is additional assistance you may be eligible to receive if you are working, studying or training at some time during the week while your child is enrolled in approved child care provider such as Roberta Jull Family Day Care Service.

CCR covers 50% of your our-of-pocket childcare costs up to the annual cap of $7,500 per child per year. You have the option to receive your Child Care Rebate fortnightly, either paid to the service as a fee reduction or directly to your bank account.

You also have the option of having CCR paid quarterly or annually as a lump sum directly to your bank account. Please arrange your preference with the DHS, once you nominate your choice it is set for the financial year.

Job Employment and Training (JET) Childcare Fee Assistance

If you are eligible for JET, please provide our office with a copy of your JET activity letter from DHS specifying eligibility to JET entitlements in a Family Daycare Service.

Special Child Care Benefit (SCCB)

The Roberta Jull Family Daycare Service has a limited capacity to assist families experiencing financial hardship under Special Child Care Benefit (SCCB). Please contact the Manager for further information.

A quarterly statement of child care usage report will be emailed to each family indicating all subsidies, benfits, absences and hours of care used. Please check this is a true reflection of your child's attendance.
